Title	Using Communicative Games in Improving Students’ Speaking Skill
Presented by	Hana Muslimah
Gap	This research focuses on the appropriate way to increase students’ speaking skill. The result shows that students’ speaking skill better in both their condition, fluency, enthusiasm, confidence. This research could make a funny and enjoyable way in teaching speaking as well as can make the teacher more creative in teaching speaking skill. However, It is also to investigate /analyze/improve/find out the effectiveness of this game in another skill or another issues.

Rationale	One of the most common problems that most students face when learning a language is their inability to speak it. Their inability make them inactive when learning English were conducted in the class. Communicative Games can be an alternative way to overcome students’ difficulties in learning how to speak English. In fact, they can improve their speaking skills be more active. However, talking about communicative games cannot be separated from those two terms;” communicative” and “game”. The word communicative refers to the communicative approach in which teaching-learning activity avoids the concentration towards grammar and vocabulary but emphasizes on the significance of language function (Harmer, 200). In other words, these activities will involve students in real communication, where the achievement of their communicative task is more important than the accuracy of language they use. Besides, it will indirectly make students willing to get involved in every activity in the classroom that will make them have to get used to being active. Therefore, it can give positive impact towards students’ motivation and classroom atmosphere which in line with Michael J Wallace (1987), language games are used for increasing emphasis on the importance of motivation and the appropriate kind of positive effective atmosphere in the classroom. Write imaginary day with the person discussed in the classroom

If someday I meet Steve Jobs, I will use my time to talk and exchange ideas about the world of technology. Besides, I will also ask his advice to be a successful person like him. I will ask him about some things like his product that has created and about other technologies. I want to talk to him about the game apps. I want him to do an innovation related to the game and make me as the one who will test whether the game is interesting and worth playing or not. Then, I also want to come to the apple making factory with him, I want to see the manufacturing process from start to finish. I really want to be one part of the apple trial appraiser and for every new product release, I want to have that product for free. I want to be one part of the success of apple products.

Why are you interested in this person?

Because I have an interest with all about technology, so I have to choose Steve Jobs. Besides, I want his product for free hehehe

First news Title: Venezuela cuts power for four hours a day to save energy	In the face of a worsening energy crisis, Venezuela issued a power outage program four hours a day starting next week. The system will last for 40 days due to the country being in a state of severe drought. Besides, Venezuela also experienced a sharp decline in the price of its main export, oil. They also will stop production of beer because it does not have the dollars to buy grain abroad. There will be 10,000 workers are likely to be dismissed. Venezuela really were in their worst condition which results in all aspects of the country. Various kinds of accusations popping up on the deterioration in the country.
Second news Title: One killed, six injured in Bali boat collision	An accident involving two boats collided. Victims consisted of seven people, one person died and six others were injured. The accident scene occurred in the waters of Nusa Peninda, Bali on Friday. Accidents caused by the captain on board the view is blocked by a basket small that it can not see the other boats in the opposite direction.
Third news Title: Sea ice falls to record low at both poles	In the US and Europe, the extent of sea ice in the Arctic Ocean has set new record lows due to global warming. Ranging from the Arctic that expands to the greatest limit to the North Pole that apparently reached the annual maximum limit. Ice covering 14.42 million square kilometers (5.57 million square miles), 97,000 square kilometers less than the previous lowest maximum occurring February 25, 2015. then in Germany, scientists at the University of Bremen published similar findings. Their data show that the ice covering 14.49 million square kilometers (5.59 million square miles) of February 22 almost the size of Russia, fractionally smaller than the low winter before 14.58 million square kilometers set last year in the satellite record comes back to 1970 .

	What does the story tell you?
First film/episode Title: Your Name and The Promise	Your Name is about Mitsuha Miyamizu, a high school girl, yearns to live the life of a boy in the bustling city of Tokyo, a dream that stands in stark contrast to her present life in the countryside. Meanwhile in the city, Taki Tachibana lives a busy life as a high school student while juggling his part-time job and hopes for a future in architecture. One day, Mitsuha awakens in a room that is not her own and suddenly finds herself living the dream life in Tokyo, but in Taki's body! Elsewhere, Taki finds himself living Mitsuha's life in the humble countryside. Their soul is changing. In pursuit of an answer to this strange phenomenon, they begin to search for one another. Unfortunatley, when they finally can come back to their own body, they forgot each other. Mitsuha forgot about Taki, and Taki as well. But, there is still a miracle, one day, they meet again though in a state they didn’t remember each other. They just though that they have met before. The Promise is about the love triangle between a brilliant medical student Michael and beautiful dance instructor Ana. Their shared Armenian heritage sparks an attraction that explodes into a romantic rivalry between Michael and Ana's boyfriend an American photojournalist who's dedicated to exposing the truth.
Second film/episode Title: The Diary of Wimpy Kids	In the first season it’s told about a boy that usually being bullied by his friend in their school, and in the forth season it’s told about a family that want to celebrate their grandma’s birthday in some place. And they have to go on vacation to go to grandma’s house. Unfortunately, they can’t gonna make it because something was happened.
Third film/episode Title: Time Renegades and Fallen Star	Time Renegades is about high school teacher Ji-hwan and homicide detective Gun-woo, both men are taken to the same hospital in different time periods, and both their hearts stop and miraculously start again at the same time. A mysterious force binds them together, allowing them to see through each other’s lives in their dreams. Soon realizing that the women they love strikingly resembles each other and that they are in fatal danger, the two men must team up to trace the past and change her destiny. Fallen Star is about two person in different gender, Cooper a melancholy bartender is thirty-six Daisy an extremely bright but socially awkward girl in her early twenties.

If you can exist on the story, in what scene will you appear? Who are you? Tell the scene consisting you as a cameo on the story I will choose Your Name movie, so if I become a cameo on that movie, I’ll become a time angel that observing Mitsuha and Taki. When Mitsuha and Taki are coming back to their own body and they meet each other by passing each other but cannot remember who he/she are, just feel familiar, I still will observe them in one month. If in that one month they still cannot realize something to remember each other, as a time angel that had a job to keep&take human’s memory, I’ll erase their memory forever. So they have to start their live to know each other in zero.

WRITTEN REPORT (Meeting 4)

	What does the story tell you?
First Story Title: The Ugly Duckling	One day there was a duck spawn, among all the eggs there is a different one, the   egg is colored gray. After a long time, all the eggs hatch. The duck mother lived with all of her children. One day, the ugly duckling feel that its was different, its asked its mother why he was the only one who is different, then the mother simply replied that it did not need to make the ugly duckling worried. Every day when a mother duck and all the children go hand in hand, the ugly duck is always in the last row because he did not feel confident with his different from the others. Being the only different makes himself often teased by other animals. Felt that he can’t take it anymore, the ugly duckling finally went to escape to a place. But in his escape, the ugly duckling find a place that contains beautiful swans. The ugly duck amazed with the beauty of the swan. When he accidentally saw his reflection in the water, he realized that he looks just like the swan he saw. Then he realized that he had been born as a swan, not as an ugly duckling. In the end, the ugly duck join other swans and fly freely.
Second Story Title: The Golden Egg	One day there was a man who lived with his family. They live in poverty. They have only one hen that always produce eggs as their property. But the hen can only produce one egg per day that makes these man could only support his family with one egg per day. Then one day the man was surprised with the hen that lays the golden egg. Later he thought that the possibility is there are a lot of golden eggs in the belly of the hen that he can sell it in order to become rich. The man decided to kill the hens with a view to taking all gold eggs in the bowels of hens that by splitting the stomach. Unfortunately, when he ripped the hens stomach, he did not get anything. What he got is only poverty that will continue because he has not had anything.
Third Story Title: The Fox and The Goat	One day there was a fox that had fallen into the well. The fox was trapped in the   well and could not get out because of the well is deep. Because nobody came any closer to the well area, the fox finally capitulated. He decided to spend the night in the well, wait until tomorrow hoping there reinforcements. The next day, the fox heard a sound and it was a goat. Find reinforcements arrived, the fox shouted from the well. The goat who heard it came up, he wondered why the fox could be in the well, then the fox said that the water in the well it tasted delicious. Feel interested, the goat finally jumped into the well because he wants to feel the water in question by a fox. But in the end they were both trapped. With the cunning, the fox said that if the goat helped him get out of this well, the fox will help the goat to get out of the well when the fox is already on top. The goat agree. Then the goat lets the fox to climb his back and began to spring up. When the fox managed to get out of the well, he immediately left the goat that still stuck in the well. The fox had reneged.
Forth Story Title: Turtle and The Two Ducks	One day there was a tortoise that was thoughtfully staring at the sky. He hoped that he could fly to see the wider world. He was bored with what he saw every day. Only the land and the trees. He wanted to fly to get to know the wider world. then he saw two ducks passing by and shouted out for a help. The ducks asked how can they help the turtle out. The ducks said that they are flying in the air and the turtle is swimming in water. The turtle propose that both of the ducks carry each ends of a piece of stick with the turtle by his mouths, then he will hold on to it at the middle with his mouth. The two ducks agree but they warn the turtle that the turtle must remember not to open his mouth. So, the ducks carried the turtle across the country side toward the lake. As they passed over a village, a group of children looked at them and bursted into laughter, "Look! What a funny sight! Two ducks are carrying a stick with a turtle holding onto it with his mouth!"  The turtle was angry at the remark and reply at them but, once he opened his mouth, he fell from sky and crashed to death.

If you can change one of the characters in the previous stories, what animal character will you choose? I will change the hen from the story “The Golden Egg” become a fish.

What is the characteristic of the new animal you decide? -          The fish produce an eggs which will hatch become a fish as well. -          The type of fish is a molly fish, ornamental fish. -          Babies molly's fish if feasible size will be directly sold as ornamental fish.

Change the beginning or ending of the story after you change the character, you may also add the other characters to the story! I’ll choose to change the ending of the story. One day the man realized that the eggs produced his molly fish, it looks different. The resulting egg size is slightly bigger, and when he touched the eggs, it was very hard and a little heavy. When he saw the eggs carefully, he realized that it was not the usual eggs, but the grains of pearls. Realized it, the man decided to collect the pearls to sell it later. The results that will be obtained from the sale of pearls will be used as seed capital to open a mini business so that he has an additional income to support his family. He was also felt very grateful and caring for the fish with extreme caution.

Written Report (Meeting 3)

	What does the story tell you?	Do you like/dislike the story? Why?
First Story Title: Untouchable	The story is about a girl, Sia Lee, who is just a normal girl or maybe a normal human who met someone by an accident. She met a boy, named Jiho Shin. When they stuck each other, all of the book that she has bought are falling down and their hand are touched. Sia feel something strange from him. After that, Sia always following Jiho wherever he goes. Jiho thinks that Sia is a stalker, but actually Sia just want to know something from Jiho. Then, there is a second accident about ‘books’ that Sia deliberate keep it by herself so she can continues to be in close Jiho to find out who Jiho actually is.	I actually does not really like the story because the story which is use a vampire love life story with human is too mainstream. Besides, the story is easy too read what will happen next.
Second Story Title: My Pre-Wedding	The story is about Adimas who fall in love with Adelia. They are a civil cervant in the same school. The story is began with Adimas who scared of cockroach and he saved by Adelia who is become a brave girl in his eyes. Since then, Adimas fell in love with Adelia and kept chasing Adelia to get her love. So many problems he faced in order it is just for adelia.	In terms of the story is pretty good, but I do not really like to this comic, remembering that this comic takes place in the scope of Indonesian schools which incidentally looks less sensible for fellow civil servants do a physical contact in love context in a school environment.

From the stories, choose one of the unfinished story and make your own ending I choose Untouchable, and the ending will be : After the second incident about book, Jiho realizes that Sia is just playing around with him without wanting to give the book back. Sia become hated by Jiho because of that. Sia trying to apologizes to Jiho but he is not a typical person who will forgive someone easily. On the other hand, when Sia feel frustrated because Jiho does not want to forgive her, Baryu come closer to her. At first, Sia does not really happy when Baryu suddenly become close to her. But slowly, because Baryu always by her side whenever she faced any problems in her life, Sia started accept Baryu. Sia can feel that Baryu is honest and does not have any devil purpose. Since then they always together as a friend because Sia know that Baryu is a vampire same as Jiho and Sia make her own promise that she would not or even don't fall in love with a vampire after her feeling for Jiho was rejected indirectly. And the other side, Jiho can't do anything looking Sia, someone he loves, life happily with the other man which incidentally is his friend a fellow vampire, Baryu.
